When gyms and fitness studios first closed amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in early 2020, there was a run on exercise equipment. Dumbbells, resistance bands, medicine balls, and more were quickly selling out at retailers across the country as people scrambled to set up their home gyms.

Despite vaccinations on the rise and gym restrictions lowering, exercise equipment—particularly dumbbells and other free weights—is still in high demand as people prepare for summer.
