Thistle Brown’s new brand is for clouted New Yorkers who want to be seen
Though contemporary wisdom would say otherwise, there is nowhere better to be in the summer than a humid capital city. Some people take to the coastal regions of France, Spain, or Greece at the earliest possible convenience, but something shifts in places like London, New York, Milan, and Paris. Miserables get overtaken with vitamin D and begin to smile and spend time outside because restaurants put tables on the streets.
That seems to be the vibe stylist and photographer Thistle Brown is going for in a new series of videos shot in and around NYC. There, a cast of locals including Dev Hynes, Katerina Tannenbaum, Lili Sumner, and Dazed's US editorial director Lynette Nylander gossip and frolic about in Brown's newly-launched collection of sunglasses. The rectangular frames – part Jackie Onassis, part Kurt Cobain – come in four shades and are designed to help people see and be seen. Click here to browse the collection.
